Woodturning

Turned, carved leaf

I began wood turning during a general wood working night class at Gosforth High School, Newcastle in 2003. The class covered all aspects of woodwork but I immediately took to turning and I bought myself a lathe soon afterwards. Since then most of my spare time has been devoted to this incredibly relaxing activity.
I produce a mix of functional and decorative items and tend to prefer bowls, hollow forms and vases to spindle work as I feel it gives me more scope for experimentation.
Most of my work is one off pieces but I have recently been producing a small range of items for jugglers - pepper grinders, key rings and pendants.
If you would like further information for anything which you see on my site or are interested in commissioning some work then please don't hesitate to contact me.
